Learn to see and capture the dramatic colors of Autumn. Zhang will guide you in painting the Autumn landscape both outside in Plein-Air (weather-permitting) and with photos in the studio. Following his weekly short demonstrations, you will hone your skills by painting landscape features, showing atmospheric color, and composing landscape paintings from scenes of your choice. Learn how to turn a small study into a larger painting.
Students of this course will develop better painting skills, especially for composition, color relationships and atmospheric color. They will enjoy showing the beauty of Autumn in nearby landscapes. Critiques will be offered.
In addition to the attached supply list, students will need transportation, a portable easel, hat, sunscreen/bug spray — whatever they need to feel comfortable outdoors. This class is suitable for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. Ages 15+
