Now and Then

This exhibition celebrates WSA students who are current students (Now) and past students (Then). We also invite WSA students to submit work that follows the theme Now and Then.
Juror: Jenne M. Currie
Jenne M. Currie, the daughter of two painters, Ethel Magafan and Bruce Currie, was born and raised in Woodstock, NY. She moved to New York City to study at the Art Students League and soon after began fabricating welded steel sculptures as well as doing bronze casting in Pietrasanta, Italy. In later years, she began making painted wooden wall sculptures and she currently alternates between this medium, painted paper collages and mixed media. Jenne has conducted workshops for adults at the Art Students League of NY and more recently at the Woodstock School of Art. Jenne has exhibited her work in numerous prestigious Manhattan venues such as the National Academy, Seligmann Galleries, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and Salander-O’Reilly Gallery as well as in New Canaan, Ct. at Silvermine Guild, Boscobel Manor in Garrison, NY and the Schenectady Museum of Art. Most recently Jenne was invited to exhibit 13 of her works at Castello 925 in Venice, Italy. Jenne is currently represented by the Buster Levi Gallery in Cold Spring, NY.
