Abstract Sculpture is a hands-on class that supports students to create three- dimensional art through the exploration of everyday materials using basic sculptural construction techniques.
Participants will discover how the language of materials can communicate complex ideas and emotions through sculptural forms as well as gaining familiarity with basic fabrication methods and tools.
The fundamentals of three-dimensional art will be investigated through both suggested projects and individual guidance for independent ideas. Regardless of approach, students will be encouraged to explore methods and materials of personal interest.
Each class will include technical demonstrations as well as individual assistance and informal group critiques.
