Abstract Layers & Depth

The exploration of layering paint reveals many marks and strokes by using translucent, opaque and textured techniques. This workshop will explore the process of messy edge beginnings as well as starting with one medium and layering others as the work evolves. Through demonstrations in both water-based and oil paints, you will be guided through the stages of building layers starting from a blank surface. This workshop provides the essential tools to bring your work to a level of profound depth and complexity.
