Mariella Bisson, Fawn’s Leap, lithograph, 8”x 6”
Bisson comments “The spirit of Bolton Brown in the form of his lithograph also titled Fawn’s Leap accompanied us as we worked at the School’s Graphic Workshop. Brown’s print shows a fawn being pursued by a dog whose ill-fated leap across the stream gives the legend its poignancy. I was interested in the unusual rock formations at this site, an unfolding series of vertical cliffs that perfectly frame a view of the falls”.
Mariella Bisson received her BFA from Pratt Institute and a MS from Bank Street College. She has been the recipient of grants from foundations including Pollack-Krasner, Gottlieb and Vogelstein, and numerous residencies. Ms. Bisson exhibits internationally and her work is in the collections of the Pfizer Corporation, Philip Morris, Standard & Poors, the Jane Vorhees Zimmerli Museum and many others.
