The Essence of Spring

As leaf buds swell and leaves unfurl, soft clouds of pale greens and pinks hover among the trees…budding flowers push through the moist earth and then explode in a rainbow of vibrant colors announcing spring’s arrival with a kind of freshness that is is ephemeral as it is sudden

During this workshop we will explore ways of mixing the colors of spring and capturing the lines and textures of the season as we create abstracted visual imagery on panels and paper that hints at the essence of this time of rebirth and renewal.

Please note that this class is designed for artists who either have taken introductory encaustic classes or have some experience working with encaustics.
