Sketch and Paint Along with Robert: Poetic paintings in pastel / Interpreting your subject

$126.00

52 in stock

SKU: SPR9 2/6/2023 - 2/27/2023 Category: Classes and Workshops

Pastel has been compared with the pollen of a lily or colors on butterfly wings, yet it is among the most durable of mediums. From DaVinci to Degas, Cassatt to Picasso, artists have explored the amazing potential of pastel over the centuries. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, you’ll be inspired as you learn about the medium’s long history and learn techniques to explore the poetic side of pastel. You may choose to just watch or to sketch and paint along, step-by-step, with very popular instructor and master pastelist, Robert Carsten. Each week we will focus on a different subject, utilizing diverse approaches and techniques. Photos and a materials list provided via Dropbox, where participants can also share zoom class work or optional homework for written critique. All levels welcome.
