Explore a variety of ideas, ways and techniques to design and paint still lifes that are sure to inspire! Through centuries, still life painting has refected cultural and ideological trends and developed this genre into powerfully creative expressions and unique designs. Experience and learn about various approaches and concepts from classical to impressionist, modernist to abstracted. Robert will show and discuss compositional ideas, light effects, color palettes and more for inspiration, using visual ideas from each style as a springboard for our own creativity Whether you are a beginner or experienced, you’re bound to be inspired as you learn about these stylistic concepts and practices. You may work in any drawing or painting medium. Robert will be working in pencil and acrylic. You may choose to just watch or to sketch and paint along, step-by-step, with very popular instructor, Robert Carsten. Each week we will see examples and focus on a different subject, utilizing diverse approaches and techniques. Photos and a materials list provided via Dropbox, where participants can also share zoomclass work or optional homework for written critique. All levels welcome.
