This introduction to collage course includes pasting, ripping, tinting, and cutting paper and/or other materials on any surface with a focus towards color, texture, space. 

To begin classes and to get students started the instructor will begin with a series of brief demonstrations of basic techniques. Followed by structured assignments to help students focus on composition and material use. The instructor will work along with the class continually demonstrating and sharing his personal style. At some point we will begin tinting and color our papers with inks and gesso, introducing another dimension. Throughout the class the instructor will show and make references to classical collage art. Student interaction and sharing is encouraged.

Suitable for beginner and intermediate; no experience necessary! Ages 12+
