Fresh flowers are a universal symbol of beauty; yet, as they begin to fade, blossoms take on a different kind of poignant loveliness. During Fallen Blossoms, we will explore the fleeting beauty of fallen petals, leaves and blossoms as we create abstract botanical paintings and monotypes using encaustics on paper.
We’ll take our works on paper even further through encaustic collage and enhance them by applying India inks and oil Pigment Sticks.
This workshop will also include a demonstration of how to safely mount and frame encaustic-saturated paper.
