Engaging with Line

The quality of your mark-making is the entry point into the act of drawing; in this 2-day workshop we will isolate line quality to explore its many variations. How might your use of line change as affected by hand pressure, the angle of your arm, your stance in relation to the picture plane, how you hold your tool, the various paper surfaces? You might be surprised how these sensory choices can open up more options for expressive line in either representational or non-representational drawings.
