Bring your drawings, collages, prints, photo ideas–or plan to work extemporaneously. We will be using the Akua Intaglio Inks that are soy-based. The ink can be washed off with water and soap for easy safe clean-up. This is a great substitute for traditional oil-based printmaking inks. The intense colors wipe smoothly like the oil-based creating deep rich values and plate tones. Akua etching inks are ideal for Intaglio/Etching, Monotype, Gel and Collagraph printmaking.
Collagraph is a printmaking technique that involves gluing various materials to a rigid surface to create a textured plate. The plate is then inked and pressed onto the paper.
