Concept and Passion: Advanced Encaustic Mixed Media

Whether you work intuitively or with fully formed ideas, this workshop will explore the threads that run through your work, what drives you to create, and what draws you to work with certain materials. The workshop is designed to be an immersive experience that pushes participants to explore deeper layers of both technical skill and personal expression. Cultivating a connection with the ideas, materials, and inspirations is the goal to further individual directions.

Participants can expect demonstrations, studio time, exercises, short presentations and individual feedback to round out days of deep exploration in encaustic and mixed media materials. By combining technical expertise with a deep personal connection to the material, this advanced encaustic mixed media class can provide participants with the tools and inspiration to push the boundaries of their artistic expression.
