Art for Teens

In this 4-week session of Art for Teens, we will be painting, drawing, and making collages with the human figure as our subject matter. Throughout the session, we will explore materials such as charcoal on paper, painting with acrylics, and collaging with hand-painted papers like Matisse did with his cut-outs. Please note that there will be a live clothed model during class on September 1. The final class allows students to choose independently.

Each class will begin with a talk/group discussion about images that I will provide with slides and books that will provide inspiration for the class work that evening. The remaining time will be dedicated to studio time for the students to create. We will have a short wrap-up at the end where we will discuss what we learned from our class that evening.
