Sketch and Paint Along with Robert: A Gift to be simple / small format acrylic painting

This class focuses on the artful beauty of simplification in order to achieve well-designed, visual impact. We will explore several contemporary styles and ways in which we can a distill ideas and reduce our presentation to essentials. Working in small formats, Robert will show and discuss compositional ideas, organizing light effects, limiting color palettes, simplifying and grouping details and more for inspiration, using visual ideas from each style as a springboard for our own creativity Whether you are a beginner or experienced, you’re bound to be inspired as you learn about these stylistic concepts and practices. You may work in any drawing or painting medium. Robert will be working in acrylic. You may choose to just watch or to sketch and paint along, step-by-step, with very popular instructor, Robert Carsten. Each week we will see examples and focus on a different subject, utilizing diverse approaches and techniques. Photos and a materials list provided via Dropbox, where participants can also share zoomclass work or optional homework for written critique. All levels welcome.
