2007 Annual Print – Kate McGloughlin

Kate McGloughlin, Apple Tree, linoleum block print, 6” x 8”

Regarding the subject of the print McGloughlin notes “I used to drive by it all the time on my way to yoga class. The tree has since been hit by lightning and is not there anymore.”

Kate McGloughlin graduated from the University of Arizona at Tucson with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Drawing and Painting in 1985. In 1991 she was awarded a scholarship to study printmaking with Robert Angeloch at The Woodstock School of Art. Winning many awards and prizes, she has participated in numerous exhibitions nationally, and has had several solo exhibitions regionally. McGloughlin has been an instructor at the Woodstock School of Art for thirteen years and currently serves on the Board of Directors. In 2002 a book of her prints titled A Walk in the Woods was published by Precipice Publications. Her work has appeared in Journal of the Print World and American Artist Magazine.
