Patty Mooney describes herself as a multi-media artist, creating relief sculptures and outdoor pieces. Using an eclectic palette of materials both manufactured and natural to solve expressive, aesthetic and practical problems that arise in her evolving oeuvre of work. She offers theme based classes applying mixed media techniques; a platform where she can assist the student to discover their own answers to the creative problem set before them. An experienced and well respected art educator in the local community having taught art at Saugerties High School for twenty years (1998 – 2019) and acting as Department Chairperson for ten. She has had several solo shows locally and actively displays her work in the galleries of Mid Hudson Valley.
