Lisa Mackie works in mixed media prints, paintings, original books, video and installation. She received a MFA, University of Wisconsin, and a BFA, University of Michigan. Her visiting professorships include NYU, Cooper Union, FIT. She currently teaches in New York at York College and Queens College. She is a master printer and proprietor of Lisa H. Mackie Studios, NYC.
She has exhibited with Mitchell Giddings Fine Arts, Brattleboro, Vt; June Kelly Gallery, New York, NY; Dan Welden Studio/Gallery, Sag Harbor, NY; Inky Editions, Hudson, NY; Kosa Gallery Arts Walk, Hudson, NY; City University New York, Jamaica, NY; Community School of Music and Art, Ithaca, NY; Hunterdon Museum of Art, Clinton, NJ; Dowling College, Oakdale, NY; Gallery 22/21, New Delhi, India; Sound Shore Gallery, Stamford, CT; Chemical Bank, Sheridan Square, New York; and many others.
Her work is in numerous collections, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Yale University Art Gallery, the Hunterdon Museum of Art, New Jersey, and the Botswana Museum and Art Gallery in Gaborone.
