It’s the chant that echoes in the Graphics Studio at WSA from mid-July to mid-August every summer…

This year’s invitational Monothon—the WSA’s premier annual fundraiser—boasted new artists, new Master
Printers, newly trained press assistants and even new donors! Artists drove from across the Ohio Valley,
ferried over from Nantucket and flew in from Chicago to claim their station to be part of the ever-growing circle of Monothusiam at the WSA!

The supporting cast of volunteers—the lunch providers and servers, the noontime studio turnaround squad, the evening wrecking crew, and of course! the hard-working WSA staff—make this massive endeavor hum like a beehive.

This event brings artists together to do what they do best and taps the creative vein that has become synonymous with the printshop at the Woodstock School of Art, and every year a new pattern of connection emerges.

This year’s word of the week was coined by Anne and Matt Canzonetti: “COM-PALETTE-ABILITY”…the
uncanny occurrence of artists working under the same roof, albeit in different methodologies, eerily created
masterful, similarly paletted companion pieces.
