Woodstock, NY: Curators John Kleinhans and Paula Nelson will walk through the Woodstock School of Art gallery and talk about the work on display as well as the personal relationships and friendships among the artists represented in Off the Walls: Artwork from our Patrons’ Collections. It is noteworthy that the Art Students League, both in New York City and in Woodstock, was a common thread in the lives of many of the artists represented here. Later, the Woodstock School of Art became a second chapter in the development of a sense of community originating over a century ago, when artists began calling Woodstock home.
The Curators Talk will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 12:00 Noon in the Robert H. Angeloch Gallery at the Woodstock School of Art on Route 212, one mile east of the village of Woodstock. Admission is free and open to the public. The exhibition, Off the Walls: Artwork from our Patrons’ Collections will continue through December 16th. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, from 9 AM to 3 PM.
