ABOUT THIS CLASS:
Transparent watercolors seem to glow from within. Learn how to keep that gem-like quality through color mixing, washes and calligraphic brushstrokes. Students can choose to work from their own sketch or photograph, try a simple color exercise or paint directly from a simple still life.
Students will gain an understanding of the qualities of transparent watercolor, unique brushes, papers, various ways of applying paint plus tips to keep the whites.
Suitable for beginner and intermediate; no experience necessary! Ages 16+

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Angela has 35 years of watercolor experience which began at the Woodstock School of Art. She holds a B.A. degree in Art History/Visual Arts from SUNY New Paltz and has taken advanced
watercolor classes with American Watercolor Society instructors. Angela taught watercolor privately, in small groups and through local continuing ed. The light-filled flowing quality of
watercolor has been a constant throughout her career which also includes collage and bluestone sculpture.
Angela’s work has been included in recent juried shows at the Woodstock Artist Association and Museum, Woodstock School of Art, Emerge Gallery, Saugerties, Mighty Tieton Warehouse,
Tieton, WA, and The View, Old Forge, NY. Her paintings, collage and bluestone cairns are included in numerous private collections and public spaces.
