ABOUT THIS COURSE:
This online course is a two-part oil painting demo series. Each demo is approximately 1 hour in length and deals with specific issues relating to creating transparency in form.
- February 18: Simplifying transparent form, editing, neutral and saturated color relationships.
- February 25: Organizing values in clear glass, editing and using refraction.
Students will be encouraged to focus on the large abstract shapes and values in found in glass objects, and to carefully mix and calibrate color relationships to build convincing form in a painting.
Best suited to intermediate level students. Ages 17+
Deadline for registration is 7 PM on the day before the first class. Any registrations received after 7 PM the night before the first class of the session will receive the pre-recorded video of the first class (or classes missed if session already began). Be sure to include your email address.
