ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Rapid Notation will provide a technique for students to depict the essence of the subject at hand in short 5 to 30 minute painting sessions.
Through a sequence of short and quickly executed studies in oil paint, students are challenged to hone seeing skills by quickly identifying the most significant forms, gestures, spatial relationships and sense of atmosphere. Students learn to depict the essence of the subject at hand in short 5 to 30 minute painting sessions. The studies can stand as paintings in their own right or source material for further paintings. Students will work both from a live model and still life. Recommended for students with painting experience.
