Learn to paint believable hands by understanding their structure and surface anatomy, mobility, and expressiveness.
1 Lecture/Demo on how to paint Hands
Rest of Class: Practice painting hands (both male and female) from handout images
2 Lecture/Demo on Hand Anatomy for the Artist
Rest of Class: Practice painting hands (both young and old) from handout images
3&4 Use stretched canvas to paint a portrait from life of model posed with hand near face
Weekly homework will be given out to help develop relevant skills.
January 17–February 7, 2020; Fridays, 1–4 PM
$270 ($250 tuition + $20 model fee)
