ABOUT THIS COURSE:
This online course is geared to help students paint their loved ones. It is designed as a 3 month process. Each month focuses on how to paint faces of a particular age group: children, young to middle-age adults, and the elderly. Students are guided through the process of either taking good photos for painting, or selecting ideal photos from their own collection. Every class features a filmed demonstration pertaining to the specific challenges they will face in painting their own subject. Topics include getting the right proportions for a likeness, showing expression and personality, healthy skin tones, painting features, wrinkles, & hair. Student work in progress is reviewed each week as part of the class.
Students will develop stronger skills in painting people, especially their faces.
Students who sign up for all 3 months are awarded a private, one-on-one Zoom critique with the instructor after the series is completed.
This class is suitable for beginner, intermediate, or advanced students. Ages 15 +
Deadline for registration is 7 PM on the day before the first class. Any registrations received after 7 PM the night before the first class of the session will receive the pre-recorded video of the first class (or classes missed if session already began). Be sure to include your email address.
