ABOUT THIS COURSE:
Find the beauty of the area in which you live. Discover how a suggestion of mankind makes your landscape painting more meaningful. In this course, students will learn how to use their imagination to create engaging landscapes. They will also improve their painting and color mixing skills.
Week 1: Presentation of landscape paintings with a human element in art history. Pencil Sketches of Landscapes with a human element. Color Studies of two of the best.
Week 2: Value & Brushwork Studies of these 2.
Week 3: Start larger painting of one of these landscapes. Block in color & composition, then develop the middle ground/focal point/human element.
Week 4: Develop the background and foreground while maintaining the focal point as the strongest element to finish the painting.
Deadline for registration is 7 PM on the day before the first class. Any registrations received after 7 PM the night before the first class of the session will receive the pre-recorded video of the first class (or classes missed if session already began).
