ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP:
Students will learn about the unique mark-making opportunities of silkscreen and combined with learning the technical aspects of coating screens and printing, they will produce a small edition of prints. The first day will be learning how to make a negative, designing a graphic image, and preparing their screens. One-on-one discussions about how to achieve the image they envision. The following days will be for printing, and reclaiming their screens, group critique. We use non-toxic, water-based materials.
Best suited to beginner and intermediate level students. Ages 16+

*All students will be provided with used screens to use during the workshop. If you would like to purchase a screen through Woodstock School of Art, please email sophia@woodstockschoolofart.org at least 2 weeks prior to the workshop so that we can prepare a screen for you.

- Please note that for workshops lasting all day there is a one-hour break from 12PM to 1PM. Students are invited to bring lunch and eat at the school or may go to any of the local dining establishments. The school does not provide lunch or refreshments.
