Studio Class
ABOUT THIS CLASS:
This class is for anyone that wants to improve their drawing skills. I would love to see my painting students sign up, but it is not required. If you are a painter your paintings will defiantly improve as your drawing skills get stronger. Drawing is such a fun activity that anyone at any age can enjoy. We will be using charcoal and pencils to draw on newsprint and Strathmore papers. There will be demos along with lots of one on one while we work from plaster casts as well as bird nests and skulls, etc. This should be a very fun as well as informative class. What better way to spend your Friday mornings then making gorgeous drawings!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Cristeen Games was born Bath, New York and grew up on a dairy farm, along with her three brothers. She studied with Albert Alexio while in her junior year of high school. Alexio introduced her to oil painting and encouraged her to become a painter. She moved to Woodstock in 1980 to study with Frank Alexander, one of the founders of the Woodstock School of Art, and also studied with Nick Buhalis there. Cris has received the Lucille Blanch Award several times and the Sally Phoebe Towbin Annual Prize in 1995. In 1998, Cris had her first of many solo shows at the WFG in Woodstock, where she developed a strong following for her paintings. She has been in many group shows at the Woodstock Artist Association, where she ran the opening drawing sessions for 12 years, as well as other local galleries: Carrie Haddad Gallery, Wired Gallery, WFG, Kleinert/James Art Center. She has also been represented in galleries in the North East and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
