Workshop
ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP:
Designed for students with landscape painting experience, in this workshop we will focus on developing your unique voice. This will be achieved through rigorous discussion and implementation of the elements that coalesce to create paintings with impact and a highly personal style. These include the formal considerations of shape, edge, line, directionality, composition, surface and color; as well as the content of the narrative and mood that you want to express.
We will begin by discussing earlier work of each artist, critiquing not just for what is successful and what works less well but also to get a clearer idea of intentions and goals. As the workshop progresses, students will dial in on their individual aspirations as landscape painters, creating a small body of work that hangs together and expresses a personal vision.
