Experimental Printmaking – Saturdays

HIDDEN

ABOUT THIS Class:

* The first day of this class, 11/12 will be from 9am-4pm and the 11/19 & 12/3 sessions will be from 9am-12pm.

For printmakers with some experience and a sense of adventure, this two day workshop will be devoted to genre-crossing and media mash-ups and bending and blurring traditions. With a strong emphasis on media exploration and inking techniques participants will realize a new sense of the infinite possibilities open to them as artists.

Expect some lectures, always a demonstration, private and group critique and many hours of studio time.

What skills will students gain from the course? Students will have their memories refreshed in shop etiquette, inking techniques, ink conditioners and applications, and a refreshed idea about themselves as printmakers.

Best suited to intermediate/advanced printmakers; Ages 16+
