ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Collagraph is a printmaking technique which operates, as the name suggests, on the basis of collage. Students will assemble textured collages, out of prosaic items to create compositions with a wide range of tonal areas. It is a particularly robust, direct and unfussy type of printmaking, perfectly suited to both beginner and seasoned printmaker
Over the course of the workshop participants will be introduced to a range of approaches to making a collagraph, including materials and supports; various methods of plate construction; basic and advanced inking techniques using both intaglio and relief methods.
Suitable for all levels, no experience necessary! Ages 16+

$270 ($250 tuition + $20 lab fee)
In an effort to maintain our non-toxic environment, the Woodstock School of Art does not permit the use of turpentine or mineral spirits in the painting studios. Additionally, please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, or scents of any kind. Learn more.

Please note that for workshops lasting all day there is a one-hour break from twelve noon to one PM. Students are invited to bring lunch and eat at the school or may go to any of the local dining establishments. The school does not provide lunch or refreshments.
