ABOUT THIS CLASS
A course in drawing skills and concepts as needed for students to achieve the highest degree of accuracy and realism in their artworks, by exploring value, form, composition, technique, and strict observation. The class begins with rudimentary exercises, to get familiar with materials, and a still life drawing of three basic form casts(cylinder, cube, and sphere) using graphite pencils. Subsequent subject matter will be decided on, in discussion, between the instructor and the student. Students may choose to explore working in color media(with which they may already be familiar) only after completing several black & white drawings, and at the discretion of the instructor. All students receive individualized attention according to their personal needs and skill level. Suitable for beginning through advanced students.
